Diagnostic Visit

DIAGNOSTIC VISIT

Diagnosis comes before a recommendation

$145 per visit. We don’t quote refrigeration repairs from a phone description. The visit measures what the unit is actually doing — compartment temperatures, compressor and fan behavior, defrost cycle, door seal and airflow — before any repair is proposed. You get clear findings and a written next step. If a repair makes sense, the diagnostic fee is credited toward it.

WHAT WE SERVICE

Built-in refrigeration, by unit type

Specialist service for integrated and built-in units where a generic appliance visit usually isn’t enough.

Sub-Zero®, Wolf® and comparable premium built-in units. Independent service.

Not cooling, warm compartment, frost build-up, water on the floor, noise, door not sealing.

Diagnostic visit first. Findings before parts.

Freezers

Built-in freezers

Temperature drift, frost, defrost faults, alarm or error codes.

Diagnostic visit first. Findings before parts.

Ice makers

Ice makers

No ice, slow or small ice, leaks, ice with taste or odor.

Wine storage

Wine storage

WHEN TO CALL

Signs it makes sense to book now

You don’t need to know what failed. These are the signs that usually justify a diagnostic visit.

We don’t quote repairs blindly over the phone. We don’t sell parts or give DIY guidance.

Temperature

Refrigerator or freezer not holding temperature

The compartment is warmer than set, food isn’t keeping, or temperatures drift through the day.

These signs usually justify a diagnostic visit.

Frost

Frost or ice building up inside

Frost on the back wall, ice around the evaporator area, or build-up that keeps returning after defrosting.

These signs usually justify a diagnostic visit.

Water

Water pooling inside or on the floor

Moisture under drawers, water on the kitchen floor, or drain lines backing up.

These signs usually justify a diagnostic visit.

Ice maker

Ice maker stopped or slowed down

No ice, small or hollow cubes, slow production, or leaks around the ice system.

These signs usually justify a diagnostic visit.

Noise

New buzzing, clicking or fan noise

A new sound from the compressor or fans is worth checking before it becomes a failure.

These signs usually justify a diagnostic visit.

Seal

Door not sealing or sweating

Condensation on the door, a gasket that doesn’t hold, or a door that needs a push to close.

These signs usually justify a diagnostic visit.

Controls

Error code, alarm, or display fault

An error code or alarm is the unit telling you something measurable. Bring the code to the visit.

These signs usually justify a diagnostic visit.

Uncertainty

You’re not sure whether it’s serious yet

Uncertainty is a normal reason to book. The visit defines what’s actually happening before anything is proposed.

These signs usually justify a diagnostic visit.

Clear findings. Practical recommendation. Documented next steps.

Diagnostic visit

We measure actual operating conditions and identify the fault before proposing anything.

Findings before assumptions.

Findings explained

Plain-English explanation of what failed, what it affects, and what the options are.

The recommendation should be understandable, not vague.

Repair path or honest stop

If repair makes sense, we quote it. If the unit isn’t worth repairing, we say so.

No pressure. Clear economics.

Parts, repair, verification

Correct-fit parts ordered, repair completed, temperatures verified before we leave.

REFRIGERATION REPAIR FAQ

Answers before the next step

Common questions about the diagnostic visit, brands we service, and what to prepare.

Independent specialist service for premium built-in refrigeration.

Are you authorized by Sub-Zero?

No. AERIA Refrigeration is an independent service company. We are not affiliated with, authorized by, or endorsed by Sub-Zero Group, Inc. If your unit is under manufacturer warranty, the manufacturer’s service network may be the right first call.

Do you give repair prices over the phone?

No. We diagnose first so the recommendation matches the unit’s real condition.

What does the $145 diagnostic include?

Measured operating conditions, fault identification, and a written explanation of findings and options. If a repair makes sense, the diagnostic fee is credited toward it.

Which brands and units do you service?

Sub-Zero®, Wolf® and comparable premium built-in refrigerators, freezers, ice makers and wine storage.

Do you sell parts or give DIY guidance?

No. Parts are supplied and installed as part of a repair we perform.

How fast can you come out?

Calls are answered 24/7. Service visits are scheduled Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm. The next available slot is confirmed when you book.

What should I prepare?

The model and serial number (inside the unit, usually on the frame), what the unit is doing, when it started, and a photo if there’s visible frost, water or a display code.
